Take a step back in time, to a glorious era in sports posters, andone of the most beloved superstars in Pittsburgh Steelers history! Even though this one was published in ’79, it has added historical significance because the picture used is actually from January 18, 1976 – yes, Super Bowl X, when the Steelers took it to the Cowboys in the fourth quarter in Miami to defend their NFL championship title, thanks in no small part to the unstoppable rushing of the great Franco Harris. This particular poster was obtained as part of our “Toledo Collection”, obtained from a collector in Ohio who preserved his large collection of old 1980s Sports Illustrated posters flat, never displayed on the wall, and virtually untouched since purchasing them out of store racks back in the day. This one displays as well as it would have back in the day, with just some minor typical imperfections consistent with any poster purchased at that time.
