In the summer of 2017, while living in Oklahoma, there were several Sundays in a row with stunning sunsets. After lazing around all day, trying to survive the heat, we would watch the evening clouds in disbelief and say, Its happening again! We then would hop in the truck and head out on a dirt road to our favorite sunset spots to take in a beautiful summer evening and capture photos to paint from. This painting is based on one of those sunsets.
