Rolled condition first-release UK quad cinema poster for “Genghis Khan” from the year 1965. The film poster was printed by Stafford & Co. of Nottingham and London and pictures Omar Sharif as the Mongol invader Genghis Khan with James Mason as Kam Ling and Robert Morley as the Emperor of China. Fine rolled condition film poster with just a few pinholes in each corner and a few minor crease marks.
The Odeon Cinema in New Street, Birmingham closed in 1965 for major upgrading including the Warrick restaurant reopening on Thursday the 25th of June and showing this film, before the film Cliff Richard & the Shadows appeared on the stage. We are pleased to report this cinema is still alive and well today having opened as the Paramount Cinema on the 4th September 1937 becoming the Odeon in August 1942.
