Rejecting the multi-use cookie-cutter stadium style in vogue over the previous 25 years, the Baltimore Orioles built Oriole Park at Camden Yards with the best of both worlds – all the modern amenities, and all the style and sightlines of the grand classics. Over the ensuing generation, more than a dozen new ballparks would emerge using the same retro-style that made this the most exciting sporting palace to come along in a generation.
