This game gave the Penguins their fourth win in the series, clinching a berth in the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since the team hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2009. This series also marks the fourth time in seven seasons the Senators and the Penguins have met in the playoffs. The Pittsburgh Penguins were established in 1967 as one of the first expansion teams during the NHL’s original expansion from six to twelve teams.
