It was also replaced by one of baseball’s finest stadiums, Pac Bell Park, which has already witnessed dozens of great moments in its first few years. Nonetheless, Candlestick was the home of the beloved San Francisco Giants for four decades of baseball, opened in the heart of the Say-Hey Willie Mays era, and closed in the heart of Barry Bonds dominance.
