“The Testament of Dr. Mabuse” tells the story of a master criminal who hypnotised people into performing the evil deeds that he desired and pictured here in the guise of Gert Frobe a famous German actor in minds of cinema goers at the time following his successful role in “Goldfinger”. The film is of course a remake of the great 1932 German film from director Fritz Lang and the choice here of a German actor will not be lost on those who remember how Fritz Lang feared for his life as the film was a calculated insult to the Nazi’s. This colourful film poster dates from 1965 and is in folded condition with a matchstick head size pinhole at the left centre cross fold.
