Sidney Poitier’s first film in which he stars as a persecuted doctor working in a municipal hospital. The film was directed by Joseph L Mankiewicz and was one of the earliest films to deal realistically with the “race” issue. This Italian film poster was printed in Italy by Policrom and dates from 1968 for a film made in 1950 in black and white. The film poster has the benefit of two Italian stamps which are franked 1968 to the left of the title. This is a historic film dealing with racism and featuring two important stars. There are white creases on the film poster as seen.
